Willingness

I think I will always be affected by people who relapese in AA. It is like you want to grab hold of them and shake them. Scream and say "Don't you realize what you are doing?" It breaks my heart to see them walk away. I just pray to god that they make it back.

Unfortunately, many do not. I keep coming back, to help the newcomer. I keep coming back to be reminded that there is no solution in drugs and alcohol. I keep coming back to be reminded to pass the message on. I keep coming back to show the newcome my experience, strength, and hope. I keep coming back to see the newcomer.

The wonderful thing is that we never have to drink again, just one day at a time.

The only thing that will give someone the willingness to change is lot and lots of alcohol and drugs. Unfortunately, that amount might be too much for anyone person's body to handle.

So, I will keep coming back. I will not leave before the miracle happens.
