Clean Bill of Health

Well I just had my five week follow-up appointment with my urologist yesterday. He was the surgeon who removed the bacterial infection that was making me very sick this past fall. I have been having a few lagging symptoms, and I was fearful that I was getting sick again.

However, the doctor gave me an almost clean bill of health. He says that everything that he operated on was on the mend nicely. He said that all that he has done was fixed. I am very happy. He did say that if the other lagging symptoms don't stop I have to go back in again to another specialist. We will just not think about that right now.

What I have learned is not to take your health for granted. I did. Never had a primary care doctor, a living will, or health care directive. Now I do, and at least I know my interest concerning my health are protected.
